CDC reported that they recommend only those that have symptoms get tested. They stated that several state laboratories and Quest Diagnostics can test for hantavirus, specifically the Andes virus, and results from these tests can be turned around in about 24 hours. The University of Nebraska (where US passengers are under quarantine) also offers testing that specifically detects particles of the Andes virus in people.
